About Sirhimman Associates Ltd.
Sirhimman Associates Ltd was established primarily to offer a wide range of professional services in port engineering. It provides port development services, dredging design and consulting, design for rehabilitation of marine structures, shoreline protection, project management services and construction supervision.

Our team of experienced engineers and project managers have extensive experience gained over many years handling large scale marine civil engineering projects. We apply our local knowledge of the environment with international experiences to select the most appropriate delivery method to fit the specific needs of our clients and their projects.
The Managing Director of the company, Engr. Yusuf Haruna (FNSE) holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1981 and also a post graduate diploma in Hydraulic Engineering from Delft in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Engr. Haruna joined the Nigerian Ports Authority in 1984 and served in various positions. He became the Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services in 2007, a position he held for four years until the expiration of his tenure in December 2011. He also served in various positions as follows;
- General Manager – Physical Planning and Development (Western Ports) 2002-2005
- Assistant General Manager – Civil Engineering 2002 – 2005
- Principal Manager – Civil Engineering 2000-2002
- Senior Manager Civil (Chief Port Engineer) 1996-2000
- Manager – Civil Engineering 1994 – 1996
- Assistant Manager – Civil Engineering 1992 – 1994
- Senior Civil Engineer 1986 – 1992
- Civil Engineer Grade 1984 – 1986
During this period he was responsible on various occasions for the management of engineering projects of the Nigerian Ports Authority. This included planning, design, construction and commussioning of all capital projects, major and minor rehabilitation works, commissioning of engineering consultants, monitoring and regulating terminal operators development plans, precessing and acquisition for Port development/expansion and land leases, planning and supervision of capital and maintenance dredging contracts in all the Port channels, etc.
Between 1991 and 1993, he was released on secondment to the United Nations Development Programme to work on a fishing terminal project in Ghana beforre returning to the Nigerian Ports Authority.
